Master Tang Sanzang led his disciples Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing on a journey to the Western Heaven to obtain Buddhist scriptures. Along the way, they passed through Wanshou Mountain's Wuzhuang Temple. The temple's master, Zhenyuan Da Xian, had gone to heaven to attend a Daoist lecture, and before leaving, he instructed his disciples.
